Couples counselling
near St Kilda
Two therapists in the room. One for each of you. On St Kilda Road, minutes from St Kilda, Elwood, Albert Park and Windsor.

Real people. Real results. Watch what’s possible.

One room. Both perspectives.
Sussan works with the female partner, so you have someone in the room who understands your side of it without having to argue for it first.
Toby works with the male partner. Most men have never had a space to say the thing underneath the anger. This is that space.
Most couples counselling gives you one therapist and one point of view, and someone always ends up feeling outnumbered. Working with a husband-and-wife team removes the question every couple quietly asks in therapy: whose side is this person on?
Sessions run 90 minutes, because an hour tends to end just as a couple gets to the real thing.
Straight from their phones.

Australia-wide
Couples from across bayside Melbourne.
Our St Kilda Road rooms are an easy trip from St Kilda, St Kilda East, Elwood, Balaclava, Windsor, Prahran, Albert Park, Middle Park and South Melbourne — and a short ride from the CBD.
If getting to a room is the hard part, every service is also available online, so you can do the work from home once the kids are down.
Where couples usually start.
The same argument, on repeat
The topic changes but the pattern does not. One of you pushes for resolution, the other shuts down, and you both end up further apart than when it started.
Trust that needs repairing
After a betrayal, a long period of distance, or something that was never properly resolved. Rebuilding trust needs structure and accountability, not just time.
Living like housemates
Nothing is dramatically wrong. You function well, share a calendar, and feel lonely inside the relationship. This is one of the most common reasons couples come to us.
Before the wedding
Pre-marriage counselling to align expectations, money, family and roles while it is still a conversation rather than a conflict.
Before baby arrives
Most couples prepare for a baby. Very few prepare their relationship. Preparing before the pressure arrives is far easier than repairing afterwards.
Separation and divorce
Support to separate with less damage — particularly where children are involved and you will be co-parenting for a long time yet.
What happens from here.
More real results.

Before you get in touch.
Are you actually in St Kilda?
We are on St Kilda Road in Melbourne 3004 — the boulevard rather than the suburb. In practice we are a short tram ride from St Kilda, Elwood, Balaclava, Windsor and Albert Park, and most clients find it easier to reach than the suburb itself.
Do we both have to come?
Ideally, yes — but plenty of people start on their own, particularly when one partner is unsure. Individual relationship counselling is a legitimate starting point, not a consolation prize.
How long are sessions?
Ninety minutes. An hour tends to end just as a couple gets to the real thing, so we do not run them.
Can we do it online instead?
Yes. Every service is available online, and it works well when it is structured. Many couples mix the two — in person when they can, online when life is busy.
What does it cost?
The initial 45-minute consultation is $49. Session and program pricing is set out on our fees page, and we will be clear about the full cost before you commit to anything.
Is what we say confidential?
Yes. What is said in session stays in session, within the normal legal and ethical limits that apply to counselling in Australia.
A 45-minute initial consultation with Toby and Sussan — on St Kilda Road or online. It costs $49 and there is no obligation beyond it.
